Orangery Greenhouses

In the past an orangery was a greenhouse that was used to over winter specimen plants - usually the orangery was heated so that it remained frost-free

Nowadays an orangery is typically a larger greenhouse that often does not have the classic rectangular greenhouse shape. Orangeries are often used for leisure time as well as greenhouse growing.

In recent years, the Orangery greenhouse has become particularly popular. Orangeries are on a upward trend due to their modern look and design. There are many benefits to having an orangery. Among other things, the fact that you can grow your plants all year round, the possibility of relaxation in a calm area.

WHY BUY AN ORANGERY?
The name orangery can be traced back to the year 1545, when an Italian gardener had a great desire to protect his citrus and orange trees when the frost set in. The orangery became the solution.

The orangery looks in many ways like a traditional greenhouse and is constructed out of glass and aluminium profiles. However, there are some significant differences between the two types.

Some may compare an orangery with a conservatory, but they are very different. A conservatory is typically an extension of the house, while the orangery is a free standing greenhouse in the garden

YOUR PRECIOUS PLANTS CAN SURVIVE ALL SEASONS
When winter sets in and you realise that your patio plants are at risk of frost damage, it's time to consider an Orangery greenhouse.
